old fashioned in places but good. i liked this book because it follows the life of Mary when she goes to live in Misselthwaite manor. it changes her life in how she has made her two new friends and in doing so, changed theirs too.

The secret garden is a classic tale of a girl called mary, who’s parents die of cholera in india and she has been sent to mistlethwait manor in yorkshire. This books is one of those books that when you start reading you find it impossible to put it down! I would recommend this book for readers aged 8-12

A classic but still brilliant. I really enjoyed reading this and it reminded me of what a great story it is. I read the whole book in one day it was that good ! Great read for ages 10+
