The Magical Detectives

When Otto comes home from school one day to find his mother missing, he can only find one clue: an advert for the Magical Detective Agency. So he decides there’s nothing for it but to call on their services. It turns out that the agency is just one man: a peculiar character called Maximillan Hawksmoor. And he is utterly convinced that Otto’s mother has been abducted by Elementals – strange beings who live in a completely different world. It’s not long before Maximillian, Otto, his friend Juliet and her cat Cornelius set off on a thrilling journey to rescue Otto’s mother. But they’re entering a dangerously weird world where anything is possible…

  • The Magical Detectives was by far the best book I have ever read, let alone reviewed! My favourite character is Cornelius the Cat – who dosent love a talking cat? This book definitely deserves 5 *, Brian ought to be proud of himself. I can’t wait untill the sequel comes out later this year! I strongly advise that people read the book.
