Fawn
An injured fawn, a lonely girl, an animal story to make you think. One for all you lucky fans of Gill Lewis and Michael Morpurgo. Kirsty leads a lonely life watching the deer in the hills. She longs to be as free as the deer, but her mum has depression, while her dad is struggling to keep his business afloat. When Kirsty finds an abandoned fawn left to die on the hill, she coaxes him into a shed where he’ll be warm and safe. But as Kirsty battles to keep her rescued fawn a secret, she realises she can’t manage alone. Can the hurt creature show her a way to share her burdens?
“A beautiful story about trust and hope, and how animals can bring people together.” Gill Lewis, author of ‘Sky Hawk’
