My Life as a Cartoonist

The new wimp in town. Derek’s not great at reading, but he’s amazing at drawing funny cartoons. Perhaps you’ve read My Life as a Book. (We hope so – it’s brilliant!) Well, right now Derek Fallon is imagining his life as less of a book, and more of a cartoon strip. Even Dad says his drawings have really improved. Thing is: you know how cartoon strips tend to have funny events of an cringey nature, right? Well, Derek’s life is following exactly that pattern. A new boy in a wheelchair is bullying him and stealing his cartoon ideas. Plus, Derek’s crush has found a boyfriend. If he couldn’t make you laugh with a funny cartoon, he’d cry!
