Sense and Sensibility

As utterly essential as Pride and Prejudice. Elinor. Marianne. Lizzie. Edward. Darcy. Who’d you rather…? Elinor’s sense is the perfect opposite of her sister Marianne’s wild romanticism. Elinor has no idea of passion. Marianne has no idea of prudence. In fact, neither of them really have a clue. Then their father dies – forcing them out into the complex social waters of Georgian polite society. Uh-oh. What with the charms of unsuitable men and the schemes of rival ladies, they’re just about surviving but not exactly thriving. What they need are husbands – and a bit of teamwork. That’ll get the job done. Hopefully.
